CAPE TOWN ICIS Conference – Petromin presence in Africa

Petromin IOD team had a very good participation to the international BO & chemicals’ ICIS conference. M. Hicham Bouzoubaa BDM Africa was invited as keynote speaker and he presented the following thematic:

North Africa- Are we seeing the region move away from the rest of the continent?

  • There has been much discussion about the opportunities in countries such as Egypt and Morocco but has it lived up to the potential?
  • How should companies approach doing business in the region?
  • How should companies approach doing business in the region?
  • Links to the Middle East and long term implications for the market
  • Going forward – Will the market become too reliant?
  • The role of North African trading block in the rest of the region?

It was great opportunity to communicate also on Petromin group presence in Africa and our expansion and development of our distributors networks in this continent.

During the “Lubricant quality control”, panel where Hicham takes part. M. Bouzoubaa highlighted the premium quality of Petromin products sold in Africa and efforts conducted by our distributors to enhance our quality standards and best practices in the countries where we operate since decades. The costs of no quality of lubricants imported and sold in Africa impacted significantly and badly the efforts conducted by several governments to upgrade the fleets & cars parks and protect the environment.

Out off the conference M. Talib GM of Petromin IOD had the chance to tie connections and meet with new prospects and suppliers. Petromin Lubricants Distribution Agreement was signed with South African big trading company that will allow us to cover the West South Africa regions.
